A New Friend

Met her in my office…

It was a nice incident that ended in meeting the cute innocent looking girl. I suppose, we became friends the same day in our office bus. Did have many things to discuss on the first day and the conversation went well after all, considering she was a loquacious girl. Becoming a friend in no time was a tall order for me, as it usually takes time for me in settling in a relationship. But it was easy going this time as she was so carefree.

In few days, I had a lot of rapport developed with her and was able to discuss more freely most things, which I wouldn’t with a new person. May be, it was more because of her interest to spent time with me!!! . Except for the few occasions were she always tried to irritate me, but failed in most of them (I know she wouldn’t accept this) & my friends (as they envy) trying to pull my leg by making so much fun about me spending time with a new girl, I am happy to have her as my friend. Even though she talks a lot, I enjoyed her company for the few hours we had spent every day.

One thing I always treasure at any time is the company of my friends and would love to recollect how I responded at various times to them. There had been occasions when I felt that, had I been more proactive I could have developed a good friendship. We are given the entire life to live with that we don’t think in the eyes of others visualizing us as a person. I mean, we give more importance to the thinking, what I gain by making a friendship with someone?. I know that it sounds absurd to use a word like “gain”, as friendship is considered to be unselfish feelings for someone. But when we introspect ourselves, we come to terms with reality that most times we make friends with some absurd purpose in mind, unless it is a time pass.

I had promised to myself that I would be a true friend to her and hope i would be able to do it.

New Bike

I had big expectations & titillating mind about the bike i should choose. Choices were more that it was difficult for me to decide whether it is 100 cc or 125 cc or even a 150 cc bike and whether to go for TVS, HH, Bajaj?. Criterias i had in mind were simple

a. Good looks ( any youngster would fantasize)
a. Fuel Efficient ( Most important feature any biker would expect)
b. Maintenance free ( Minimum Maintenance)

My search continued for more than a fortnight.. Visited and got the quotations from all the three bike makers. Read lot of reviews in the net about the bikes. Finally tracked down the bike i need..

All most all the features i had expected were there in that bike. My chooice was Hero Honda "Passion Plus", a 100 cc bike and the best of its class..

1. Looks were great. Even fellow bikers who have Bajaj Discover told me it is good looking and they should have gone for that. It was tall, heavy bike in 100 cc category. Definitely a man's companion.
2. Topped in its class in fuel efficiency, designed to deliver 65 + kms/ litre.
3. I don't think maintenance is an issue in this bike as the built in material were good.

Had a test drive and booked the vehicle the same day...

My first words

Writing for the first time in 'My Ponderings' make me feel happy! Feel like want to write some good message.

I always had this questions in me. Am i making others to speak about me?. We are always happy to hear good things when it is said before us, like you are smart, you are friendly... I feel the real achievement in life would be when people talk good about you when you are away.
